Piranhas
The meaning of the word piranha is ‘fish tooth’. This species is as one of the most aggressive and dangerous freshwater fish in the animal kingdom. Piranhas are native to South American rivers, floodplains, lakes and reservoirs and are known for their razor-sharp teeth that are capable of taking chunks of flesh out of other organisms. Just like sharks and any other aggressive fish, piranhas only attack to have food.
The Green Planet offers an exclusive Piranha Encounter where visitors witness the feeding frenzy of 1,000 piranhas eating food with their sharp teeth. The session takes place daily at 04:00 pm under the supervision of experts who guide, educate and facilitate all visitors.
Ticket Price for Piranha Encounter in The Green Planet: You don’t need to buy a separate ticket for the Piranha Encounter. This experience is already included in the entry ticket. However, make sure to ask about it while purchasing the ticket.
Sugar Glider Encounter

Visitors and tourists who have been to The Green Planet by Meraas will vouch for how much they enjoyed the encounters with sugar gliders. These are small, omnivorous and nocturnal mammals that you won’t get to see anywhere else this easily.
They glide from tree to tree with the help of the thin skin flapped behind their tiny arms. This marsupial encounter lasts 20 to 30 minutes where people interact with the sugar gliders. This session starts around 03:30 pm daily and only 6 participants are allowed to enter the arena at a given time.
People love to take snaps next to sugar gliders and enjoy this opportunity of getting up close with these unique animals in real life. Here, you will also find biologists answering questions and educating people about rainforest and the ecosystem.
The Green Planet Dubai Ticket Price for Sugar Glider Encounter: In addition to entry fee, you need to pay AED 184 per person to get up close with sugar gliders.

Fruit bats are one of the most important elements of tropical rainforests. They help in spreading fruit trees throughout the rainforest. We all have grown up watching the famous Batman series, but how often have we seen bats in real life?
Green Planet Dubai offers a unique experience with the Bat Cave Adventure where guests follow a dimly lit enclosed path with bats hanging upside down from the ceilings. It is a unique experience for anyone brave enough to walk through the cave.
The Green Planet Dubai Tickets Price: You don’t need to pay an additional amount to experience the Bat Cave adventure. The cost is included in the entry ticket.
The Sloth Encounter

The Sloth Encounter is one of the top-billed attractions in Green Planet. Sloths are said to be the slowest mammals on earth. They hang upside down in the tropical rainforest in South and Central America. You don’t need to go abroad to interact with sloths anymore. Green Planet Dubai brings them to you. The interaction lasts from 20 to 30 minutes. A maximum of 10 participants are allowed at a given time. Daily timings for the Sloth Encounter is 02:30 pm.
Ticket Price for Sloth Encounter in Green Planet: The cost for the Sloth Encounter Experience is AED 235 per person in addition to The Green Planet Dubai entry fee.
Bug Encounter
Do you have what it takes to pet a bug and have it crawl onyour hand? Head for the Bug Encounter at The Green Planet and find out. Amaximum of six participants can “face their fears” in a 20-minute encounterwith a millipede, tarantula, worms or roaches once per day. Scheduled at 04:30pm, each session allows participants to hold, take pictures with and learn moreabout the insects from experienced biologists.
- Tickets: The Bug Encounter is a unique experience the tickets of which can be purchased at the entrance to The Green Planet.
Reptile Encounter
Did you know? Certain reptiles can go months without eating. Find out which these are at the new Reptile Encounter experience at The Green Planet.
Each session lasts 20 minutes and allows 12 participants to get up and personal with the facility’s resident turtle or chameleon, snake, lizards and turtles. A total of two sessions are carried out in a day with the first at 12:30 pm. It’s a great opportunity for guests to learn more about each reptile and their habitats from experienced biologists.
- Tickets: The Reptile Encounter is AED 184 in addition to the entry ticket.
Bird Encounter
If your kids want to know what a Toucan looks like up close,sign up for Bird Encounter at The Green Planet. Once every day at 11:30 am, atotal of six can have an encounter with the facility’s toucan, caiques andother small parrots, take pictures with and learn more about them.
